Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaskMigo (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all users, including customers and service providers.

2. Platform Description

TaskMigo is a digital marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers offering home services such as repairs, maintenance, and installations. TaskMigo does not directly perform these services and is not a party to agreements between customers and providers.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and up‑to‑date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. TaskMigo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Service Responsibility

All services are performed by independent service providers. TaskMigo does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of services.

Any agreement, dispute, or issue regarding services—including performance, damages, or delays—must be resolved directly between the customer and the provider. TaskMigo may, at its discretion, assist in facilitating communication or dispute resolution but is not obligated to do so.

Service providers are independent contractors and are not employees, partners, or representatives of TaskMigo. TaskMigo does not control or direct the manner in which services are performed.

5. Payments and Taxes

Payment for services may be arranged directly between customers and service providers or, where available, processed through third‑party payment providers.

TaskMigo does not currently process, collect, or hold payments on behalf of users within the Platform and is not responsible for payment transactions made directly between users and service providers.

All transactions may be subject to applicable Mexican taxes, including Value Added Tax (IVA). Service providers are solely responsible for complying with their tax obligations, including registration with the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) and issuing invoices (facturas) when required.

TaskMigo acts solely as an intermediary platform and is not responsible for the tax obligations of service providers related to the services they offer. TaskMigo complies with its own tax obligations under Mexican law. If applicable regulations require digital platforms to withhold or remit taxes on behalf of service providers, TaskMigo will comply with such obligations in accordance with SAT requirements.

By using the Platform, you agree to comply with any applicable payment arrangements and relevant tax laws.

6. Cancellations and Disputes

Payments are typically arranged directly between customers and service providers, and may occur before or after the service depending on the agreement between the parties.

  • Cancellations: Users may cancel a booking before the service starts. Providers may set their own cancellation rules, which will be displayed at the time of booking. Cancellations before a provider begins work typically do not involve charges or refunds, unless otherwise agreed between the customer and the provider.

  • Disputes after service: If a user is dissatisfied with a completed service, any payment dispute must be resolved directly with the provider. TaskMigo may assist in facilitating communication or mediation but does not guarantee refunds or credits.

  • Default guidelines: If a provider does not specify a cancellation policy, TaskMigo applies default guidelines to ensure fairness and transparency (for example, cancellation before service begins may result in no charge).

Nothing in this section limits users’ rights under applicable consumer protection laws enforced by the Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (PROFECO). (See our Refund Policy for extended details.)

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TaskMigo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, income, profits, or property, arising from the use of the Platform.

TaskMigo acts solely as a technology platform and does not perform or control the services provided by independent providers. Accordingly, TaskMigo is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or completion of services.

To the extent permitted by law, TaskMigo’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

TaskMigo processes personal data in accordance with applicable Mexican law, including the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares.

TaskMigo provides a Privacy Notice detailing how personal data is collected, used, stored, and protected. By using the Platform, you consent to the processing of your data as described in the Privacy Notice.

Users may exercise their ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition) as provided under Mexican law. (See our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Request Policy for full details.)

9. Consumer Protection

Users in Mexico have rights under applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms limits or waives those rights, including those enforced by the Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (PROFECO).

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Providing false or misleading information

  • Engaging in fraudulent or illegal activities

  • Interfering with the operation, security, or functionality of the Platform

TaskMigo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

11. Modifications to Terms

TaskMigo reserves the right to update or modify these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Platform and, where appropriate, users may be notified of significant changes

Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Mexico. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the applicable laws and competent authorities in Mexico.
